CATCH UP CONTINUED

We took a crazy fast road trip to Texas to take Andy Grandma B's dining room set
and other "stuff". We love those Texans!
Home by way of fantastic Anasazi ruins!

Thank you Kris and Jon for your hours of help... all the way from Vancouver, WA!
Doc and I were soooo tired!
And Doc was soooo confused!

Clarification

Here is a post to clarify the opening post. We have been called to the Australia, Melbourne Mission for 18 months to do records preservation. This means we will go into courthouses, churches, public buildings, etc to make digital copies of old documents. We are under an area co-ordinator that sets up the places to go. We also will be under the mission president there and will be involved in missionary work and assigned to a ward.

We enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo on July 6th for 2 weeks. The first week will be all missionary related with Preach My Gospel. The 2nd week, we will be trained to use the digital
equipment. Then off to Melbourne. That's all we know! I do get to wear slacks when working with with the old records. That's a good thing.

Further Clarification:

walkabout

[wawk-uh-bout]

noun
Australian
  1. a brief, informal leave from work, taken by an Aborigine to wander
  2.  the bush, visit relatives, or return to native life.

This is a familiar term to Aussies and seemed apt for our blog. We will be wandering ...but not lost!

The Call

This is the silliest video but I am compelled to start this blog with it. Our call came February 19, 2015. Jill organized Face Time with all who could. We gathered in the living room on 12th street at 5 pm. Others, including Andy from the top of a hill in Texas with his scouts called in. Those present were Mom and Dad, sister Sue, Beth, Derek, Hayden, Martha, Collin, the Puzeys, and the Giles. Garry opened the big white envelope and as he began to read, I looked at the letter and the word MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA popped off the page! As you can see, we were elated.
